Omstreeks 1990 ben ik begonnen met het
verzamelen van niet alledaagse items van katten. Figuurtjes van allerlei
materialen, poppen, (kinder)boeken, postzegels, ansichtkaarten,
speelgoed etc. De naam van het sprookje in: Engeland: Puss in Boots Frankrijk: Le Chat Botté Duitsland: Der Gestiefelte Kater Griekenland: Ο Παπουτοωμένος Υάτоς Israël (Hebreeuws): הֶחָתוּל בְּמַגָפַיַם Italië: il Gatto con gli Stivali Japan: il Mitico Pero Oekraďne: Кім ү УоЪомах / Кіт ү УоЪотах Polen: Kot w Butach Portugal: O Gato de (das) Botas Rusland: Кot b Canorах Servië: Maчak y Чизмaмa Spanje: El Gato con Botas Tsjecho-Slowakije: Kocύr v Ćiźmách / Kocour w botách Turkije: Çizmeli Kedi |
About 1990 I started
to collect unusual items of cats. Figures of all kind of materials, dolls,
(children's)books, stamps, toys and so on. From 2002 I preferred to give more attention to the fairy tale of Puss in Boots. Since then I have seen on Internet so much interesting things that I decided to start with a website. Not all the information will be correct or complete. And unfortunately are not all the pictures of good quality. Of course I added also objects from my own collection of this special cat. These are marked with an ■. This site will be brought up to date regular. As long as I have a mind to. After the publication by Perrault in 1697 this fairy tale is - as you can see just now - world wide known. Catlovers can eat their fill off. Do you want to read the fairy tale? Click here to read one of the many versions. (I am still looking for the original version of Perrault himself. If I succeed you will find the English translation.)
